Such a chaotic service and it is the worst experience I have had with renting cars. This SIXT branch at Los Angeles Venice Beach is really unprofessional and rude.
1.we have ordered a BMW X5 however when we are here, the clerk said there is no X5 and can offer Chevrolet Traverse first, and give us X5 the next day.
2.During the day, Chevrolet Traverse keeps reporting problems with tire pressure due to the sensor problem.
3.When we are back the next day, we are advised that again there is still no X5, which made us shocked. And finally give us a Buick instead.
4.Throughout the whole process, the staff in SIXT kept saying there are only two people in this branch, being too busy, and saying it happened often cars are not matching.
5.If so, why telling us come back the next day?
My impression of the whole thing is that this branch had no credibility. Pay attention.

Had a confirmed 4:00pm reservation at Sixt Venice, CA on Jan 20, 2026 and arrived by taxi at 3:59pm. The employee (Patrick B) immediately said I “should not have been able to make the reservation,” then told me the car I reserved was unavailable.
I was offered a different vehicle but told I’d have to pay an extra $20+ per day because it was an “upgrade,” even though Sixt could not honor the original reservation. When I calmly explained that I should not be charged more for Sixt’s error and said I would take the car and contact customer service afterward, the employee refused to help me, said the location was closed, and told me to leave—at 4:04pm.
I was left without a car during rush hour and was late picking up my two kids from school. I was never rude or disrespectful at any point.
Shocking lack of customer service. I would not recommend this location.
I had a positive experience with a short Uber ride from LAX. I found the cars to be of high quality and the rates more favorable than at the LAX location itself. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there were no unexpected charges on my bill. I plan to use this location again in the future.
I used to rental from Sixt exclusively years back until an issue with the Hollywood branch so I was a bit hesitant with this rental. Dishawn that helped us that day and checked us back in on the return has won back my business. We were renting the car for a weekend trip to San Diego for my wife's birthday. He provided a complimentary upgrade for the event that made our day and made the check out process smooth, trouble free and professional. We appreciate you Dishawn. Thank you for everything and I will be back soon when we need a rental again.

Honestly, giving them two stars is generous. We recently rented a vehicle from the SIXT location on Venice/Lincoln and were extremely disappointed. We chose this location based on a previously great experience with the SIXT near the airport, but unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite; it did not feel like a “luxury” rental experience at all.
The customer service from the associate who handed us the car was rude and borderline offensive. To make matters worse, the vehicle itself was filthy. It clearly hadn't been cleaned, there were potato chip crumbs all over the passenger-side console and used floss picks left in the back seat. The exterior was also covered in dents. I’ve had better experiences renting from Budget.
It was honestly so bad that we felt like we had to clean the car ourselves just to feel comfortable driving it.
To their credit, the associate who accepted the vehicle upon return did ask about our experience and genuinely tried to make things right, which I appreciated. But unfortunately, it didn’t erase the poor first impression or the unpleasant overall experience.
This has definitely made me reconsider renting from SIXT in the future; if I do, it certainly won’t be from this location.
